The Ultimate Ski Experience from zai
Freedom of movement and functionality with style

Derived from the Romansh dialect meaning tough or resistant , zai, the ski manufacturer combines total freedom of movement with highest functionality in a timeless design. Founded in 2003 the skis are designed and crafted in limited editions in the village of Disentis, situated in Switzerland’s largest canton Grison, near the ski resorts of St. Moritz and Davos-Klosters.
The skis are fully made by hand. zai follows neither trends nor tradition but consistently goes its own way regarding material and production. The dream of the “perfect ski” is the aim of the founder and designer Simon Jacomet and CEO Benedikt Germanier. zai products are unique and of simple aesthetics. With their pioneering use of granite stone for the ski core, combined with carbon fibers, natural rubber, wood and stainless steel, Jacomet developed a new generation of skis that incorporated innovative materials like zaiìra which improve flexibility and stability while maintaining damping characteristics at minimal weight. The results provided accomplished ski functions for different users, irrespective of their skiing expertise, whether in deep or packed snow, driving fast or slow.
zai is the official ski supplier of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships. They entered into collaborations with brands like Hublot, Bentley and lately with Loro Piana in 2012 for a new skiwear range.
