The de Grisogono story began in 1993. Driven by intuition, without any conscious marketing strategy, Fawaz Gruosi decided to launch his own company, willing to share his love of fine artwork and to express his creativity through precious, original jewellery. Very quickly, de Grisogono has developed its own style, through increasingly stunning shapes and arresting designs.

The Geneva-based venture took off in 1996. Fawaz Gruosi was reading some diamond-related literature when he was literally astounded by the dark beauty of a black diamond, a variety that was neglected by jewellers at the time. Then, without imagining the revolution he was about to trigger in the industry, he decided to dedicate an entire jewellery collection to this fascinating stone. It was a dazzling success that paved the way for a series of prestigious jewellery collections that daringly broke new ground. Starting 2000, de Grisogono’s watch collections, all featuring a full measure of Swiss watchmaking expertise, have demonstrated Fawaz Gruosi’s determination to break into the close-knit circle of high watchmaking.
